The Wedding Report Updates 3/22/2010

We are very excited to announce the latest updates to The Wedding Report. These updates include:

• Updates for US (forecast only), State (forecast only), Metropolitan Area, City, and Zip Code geographies
• Number of weddings and spending now include years 2005 to 2015, year over year (not all products and services include all years)
• 86 Products and Services, including total Average Wedding Cost
• 2009 Category level roll up spending summary
• 2009 Spending Distribution at total average and item level average (number of weddings that spend at average and below, average to 2x average, and greater than 2x average)
• Export Market Summary and Item Details to MS Excel
• Print View for Market Summary and Item Details
• Market summary includes number of guests and destination weddings originating from area (at State or Metropolitan Area level)
• Zip Code summary includes percent of weddings that could travel into zip code to get married
• Data downloads have been revised to include new numbers for all years and markets for single product or service

We have also made some changes to the wedding statistics area of the site to provide more information, enhanced the location search, and provide easier navigation to single products and services.

Some additional notes: 
Number of weddings and average costs have been readjusted for all areas to better reflect weddings that travel into a market. We think the current numbers are a better reflection of past, current, and future market trends.

With the following exceptions; 2005 - 2009 US spending numbers remain the result of our survey data and weddings from 2005 - 2008 at the US and state level remain the result of data collected from government agencies.

Honeymoon, Other events, bridesmaid, and Photography extras are not included in the updates. Honeymoon, other events, and bridesmaid data will be added later as part of an Industry report. Photography extras will be added later to the facts database.
